PLANETARY
Stars, constellations, nebulae and galaxies interspersed with spectacular moving images and still images with all sky resolution, all within a landscaped environment sound . The Planetarium occupies a space of 300 square meters, covered by a large dome with a diameter of 14 meters with more than 100 seats on ergonomic chairs mounted in concentric rows . And it is on this dome - screen , in the scheduled times successive images , sound, light and highly scientific content and spectacular that make astronomy told by the new Planetarium of Rome an unforgettable story and training .

FEATURES
The new planetarium is in a room of 300 square meters and is covered by a large dome , specially made by the French company Denis .

The Astronomical Museum attached to Planetarium is a structure that completes the cultural offer , outside of the usual presentation standards . Models , dioramas and interactive stations allow the visitor a real immersion in the spatial context , living the science without losing the ability to be surprised and excited . The spaces of the Astronomical Museum will be constantly updated and will be open to temporary exhibitions on the main celestial events and the most recent discoveries in astrophysics .
It starts from the Earth in the first room , represented with a great model , and on the walls is represented in special showcases its geological history and the attempts that man has done to get away from it with the first launchers .
The second room is dedicated to the moon , and in addition to a large floor model , features a diorama in a corner of the lunar surface . On the walls there are many windows that collect the history of the various planetary missions .
In the third room , suspended on the air , there is a succession of rocky planets , Mercury, Venus , Earth and Mars with the documentation of the spacecraft ( Magellan, Galileo , Pioneer ) . At the center of the room an orrery for three-dimensional visualization of the mechanisms of eclipses and seasonal variations.
In the fourth room , that of the gaseous planets , continues the succession of bodies in our system , with Saturn , Jupiter, Uranus , Neptune and Pluto. In one corner of the diorama of Jupiter's moon , Europa , which are focusing on the research of life in space .
In the fifth room is represented interstellar space with stars , nebulae , galaxies , and a representation of the cosmic distance scale . There are also a star pattern , seen as a factory of chemical elements , and a dome with an astronomical telescope that simulates the direct observation of the sky. In the same installation software allows you to " see" objects in the sky at all wavelengths , introducing the visitor to the modern technologies astronomical and astrophysical research from Earth and from space as they are performed in the digital age .
In the sixth , on a large geode video, a multi-vision of the history of the observation of the sky through the centuries, suspended between the imaginary paintings of Giotto , Goya and Van Gogh and innovative images of the Hubble Space Telescope. A symbolic unification of the two cultures.
From Last room , through a "black hole " , we go back on Earth, the entrance to the exhibition .
