The National Museum of Pasta is located in Piazza Scanderbeg 117, in the Palazzo Scanderbeg, at the neighborhood of Trevi in Rome, and is administered by the Agnesi foundation.


There you can see the history of pasta, from the oldest production machinery to the processes of modern technology and know its nutritional information and fun facts of ancient and modern pasta.

The visit is very interesting for the gastronomic schools of all levels, particularly for technical and vocational schools.


The museu is distributed in eleven rooms over two floors and a basement.



"Hall of wheat" exposes a wheel and panels explaining the production of pasta.



"Hall of Liguria" displays models of production machines.



"Sala Valeriani" shows images of famous people eating pasta.



"Sala Travaglini" craft presses are presented with the punches.



"Room archeology industrial" dedicated to the paleo-industrial phase.



"Sala Rubino Scaglione" works by various artists, including Ruby Scaglione is.



"Sala Santi Correnti" exposes the documentation relating to the invention of the twelfth century of pasta.



"Sala Penal Cordeglio" are exposed tools for producing handmade pasta by hand.



"Sala Paolo Emilio Taviani" exposes a machine for continuous production.


The museum includes a library with volumes that document the evolution of the mass, which houses a collection of advertisements and Pastifici catalogs.
