Raphael on display in Rome at the Scuderie del Quirinale from June 2, 2020.

A large monographic exhibition, with over 200 masterpieces among paintings, drawings and comparison works, dedicated to Raffaello Sanzio, the unique of the Renaissance, on the 500 anniversary of his death, which took place in Rome on April 6, 1520 at the age of just 37. The exhibition will be held at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome from June 2, 2020. A biggestBut also many other museums of international importance have contributed to enrich the exhibition with masterpieces from their collections: among these, in Italy, the National Galleries of Ancient Art, the National Art Gallery of Bologna, the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the Brescia Museums Foundation, and abroad, in addition to the Vatican Museums, the Louvre, the National Gallery of London, the Prado Museum, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the Albertina in Vienna, the British Museum, the Royal Collection, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lille. Overall, more than 200 works will be on display. The exhibition, which finds inspiration particularly in Raphael's fundamental Roman period and who consecrated him as an artist of unparalleled and legendary grandeur, tells the whole complex and articulated creative path with richness of detail...

On the occasion of the exhibition, a vast body of works by Raphael was collected: over 100, including paintings and drawings, for a collection of urban creations never seen in the world in such large numbers all together.
Also in terms of loaned masterpieces (as well as scientific work done), the contribution of the Uffizi Galleries was decisive, with about 50 works, more than 40 of which by Raphael himself.
