The Aquarium of Rome EXPO - SEA LIFE presented January 19 to press will be the most largest for extension in Italy and among the first in Europe. The Mediterranean enters in the Capital. To get to know the depth of the "Mare Nostrum" and admire the natural spectacle of Marine Protected Areas off the Italian coast you will not need to be an expert diver : just visit " MEDITERRANEUM - Aquarium of Rome ," the new museum and exhibition aquatic media being carried out under the lake Eur in Rome. Alongside the traditional aquarium will be built permanent exhibition area dedicated to underwater activities in the Mediterranean, the Mediterranean EXPO , destined to become an important meeting point between science and the public, through the organization of conferences , exhibitions and screenings. The work, with minimal environmental impact , will grow entirely below the water surface , a culmination of a project conceived at the time by the famous architect Marcello Piacentini , and will aim to recover the history and the central role of culture in Rome " Mare Nostrum " . MEDITERRANEUM - Aquarium Rome will create a rich educational and cultural journey that will enhance the Eur with its rich museum complex and will be able to promote an international network among the largest aquariums in the Mediterranean , introducing not only the animals that inhabit the Mediterranean , but also the importance of the river Tiber.
