INSIDE THE VATICAN - Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel WITHOUT QUEUE
The Vatican Museums are considered among the most important in the world, and a visit in not only essential but a must for anyone travelling to Rome. Over the years, the Popes have gathered and preserved some of the greatest masterpieces of all time, and some of the most precious works of the past. During the visit you can admire Raphael's Rooms, the private living quarters of Pope Julius II, decorated with some important frescoes by the great Renaissance painter. ST. PETER'S BASILICA
The centre of Christianity. The visit allows you to encounter St. Peter in the basilica that has conserved his remains for almost two thousand years. You will visit all the places- the naves, the chapels and the altars- where the genius and imagination of great artists like Michelangelo, Bernini and Raphael, expressed some of the greatest human achievements.
You will then descend into the Vatican's Sacred Grottos, where you can see up close to the Confession of St. Peter and the tombs of many popes, loved and venerated by the Christian people, including Paul VI and Joh Paul II.

SAINT PETER'S PRISON
The Mamertine Prison (also referred to as the Tullianum) was a prison (carcer) located in the Forum Romanum in Ancient Rome. It was located on the north-east slope of the Capitoline Hill, facing the Curia and the imperial fora of Nerva, Vespasian, and Augustus. Located between it and the Tabularium (record house) was a flight of stairs leading to the Arx of the Capitoline known as the Gemonian stairs.

MONUMENTS & CHURCHES OF THE HISTORICAL CENTRE
This itinerary will take you to ancient Rome, passing through the Middle Ages, the Renaissence until the great Baroque age. On our itinerary you will visit the famous church of San Bartolomeo all'Isola Tiberina. You will pass through the Jewish district and reach Piazza Argentina with its ruins of ancient Roman temples, and proceed to the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. From where you will arrive at the Pantheon, a masterpiece of Roman architecture, currently a church dedicated to the martyrs. You will proceed toward the church San Luigi dei Francesi, where you can admire Caravaggio's famous paintings including the "conversion of St Matthew".
