The Casa Valdese is a comfortable establishment, managed as a hotel by the Protestant Association for Cultural and Religious Exchange since 1990. Today, it is accredited as a three-star hotel.
There are 33 rooms in which sleep a total of 75 people at authorized capacity. We are located in the Prati area of Rome on a side street that is peaceful and quiet, yet at the same time, very central. In fact, we are within walking distance of some of the most recognized sites in the city: St. Peter’s, Piazza del Popolo, etc.
All of your rooms are endowed with a private bath, heat, air conditioning, satellite television, and a telephone for internal and outside calls.

Our lunch room and sitting areas are at your disposal for meetings or general socializing.
A conference room equipped with about 20 seats is also available for those who need a quiet, isolated working space.
We also have a multimedia room with internet access, satellite television, books, daily newspapers and magazines for your use.

After a full immersion day in Rome's history and culture, you can enjoy the typical meals of the Italian cooking. Our kitchen provides a fixed menu on a two-week rotation, with meals that are based on the fresh produce of that particular season as well as the rich, traditional Italian cuisine. Naturally, we have no problem adapting to your dietary needs, as long as you communicate them to us in advance.
On the fourth floor there is a lovely terrace with a wonderful view on the "Eternal City". In the summer it is an ideal place for having a sunbath or just for spending a nice evening in the pleasant fresh air.

SERVICE

The reception desk is open from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. and after that, there is a night porter on duty until midnight. From midnight to 7.30 in the morning, there is an internal telephone service, to be activated only in case of emergency, by dialling the number “9”.
The main entrance is open from 7.30 a.m. to midnight; however, if you plan to return after midnight , we ask you to request a night key from the receptionist. The keys should be brought back to the reception desk the following morning so that the room can be cleaned.
For your convenience and security, we ask you to leave the room keys at the reception desk every time you exit the hotel. To request the keys again when you return, you need only show the card with your room number that you received upon arrival.

The personnel at the reception desk are at your disposal in providing tourist information and helpful explanation Rome’s public services.
In addition, we are able to make for you, if it is possible, reservations at the museums and historical monuments, or to book city tours along the charming and classic itinerary of the ancient Rom. With the collaboration of the Valdensian Faculty of Theology, we can organize meeting with the Professors and a possible visit to our church. We can also reserve Transfer to and from the airport for groups or individuals, and weekly passes for the public transportation system; you can also obtain regular tickets for the bus and subway at the reception desk.

To call outside of the hotel, you must dial “0” followed by the desired phone number, including the prefix; to call another room within the hotel, simply dial the room number, and to call the reception desk, just dial the number “9”.
The rooms are usually ready between 2.00 p.m. and midnight on the day of arrival.
To guarantee that your room will be cleaned on a daily basis, we ask you to leave the keys at the front desk before 12.00 p.m. every day. In case of time conflicts or other problems, we are of course at your service, in trying to find a solution.
On the day of your departure, we request that the room be free by 10.00 a.m.; however, if you plan to leave the city later in the day, you may leave your baggage in our charge until midnight with no additional fee.

DINING OPTIONS

Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 9.30 a.m., usually either in the dining room on the ground floor, or downstairs.

Dinner is generally served at 7.30 p.m. in the dining room on the ground floor. If you intend to dine with us, we ask you to reserve a table with the receptionist before 10.00 a.m.

Our kitchen provides a fixed menu on a two-week rotation, with meals that are based on the freshproduce of that particular season as well as the rich, traditional Italian cuisine. Naturally, we have no problem adapting to your dietary needs, as long as you communicate them to us in advance.

In the lunch room, there is a self-serve bar open to you. We ask you to note your choices of beverage on the list at the bar. If you are with a group, you should find the notepad, again at the adjacent bar, where there will be a list with the reference name of your group, as well as all of the member names and respective room numbers: it will suffice to find your name and note your choice. The same instructions should be followed during dinner.

To order coffee, cappuccino or other hot beverages, you will need to address the server present during the meals. He or she will be able to help you with this, or if need be, with your choice of cold beverages.

WHERE WE ARE:

From the Roma Termini Railway Station - Casa Valdese: You can use the underground. The subway station is marked with a white "M" on a red background. Please follow the sign "Linea A" and take the train direction BATTISTINI. Get off at the "LEPANTO" station. Take the steps on the left side. When you are outdoors - walk about 20. m in the opposite direction of the train and you will find Via Alessandro Farnese on the right-hand. CASA VALDESE is situated on the second block on the left. From the Roma Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport- Please, follow the sign "F.S." up to the Terminal where trains leave to the Railway station "Roma Termini". Then follow your way as mentioned above.

From Roma Ciampino "Giovan Battista Pàstine" Airport: a) if you fly with certain low cost air lines, you can take the Romavision bus to Stazione Roma Termini (railway station). Tickets at the Romavision kiosk. From Roma Termini, see above. b) By bus (COTRAL, tickets at newspaper and tobacconist kiosks) to "Anagnina" subway station. From here by underground to "Lepanto" stop (see above). c) By bus (Schiaffini, tickets on board) to Ciampino railway station. From here by train to Roma Termini; then see above.

From both airports: By cab. Recommendable are cabs, which have written on the door the following phone numbers: 3570 - 4994 - 88177 - 63898 and we recommend also to check the conditions and tariff visible in the car.

On request, we can arrange a pick up for you by private cars, minibus or bus.
