Colli Albani: Enogastronomical itinerary

In the afternoon arrival at hotel, welcome drink and short meeting with our representative who will introduce you the program. Then walk in the quaint old town Rocca Di Papa whicb lies on the sloop of the Monte Cavo. Special dinner at the resiaurant/Hotel "La Locandina" with a four course menu and local wines.

Breakfast at Hotel. Full day excursion to the upper border of the "Albano Lake" - Short stop at Castel Gandoffio (The summer residence of the Pope ). Visit of Albano, a town built on the ruins of a roman "Gastra". We will see the Museum, the "Cisternoni" (big roman water cisterns), the "Porta Pretoria" and the Church Of Santa Maria della Rotonda, built on the Ruins of Domiziano's villa.
13:00 Hrs - Arrival at the Farm "Due Torri" (Two Towers) built on tbe ruins of two roman Cisterns, by the ruins of two towers of an ancient castle.
Welcome aperitif in the typical grotto and lunch in the roman cisterns, with a 3/4 course menu and local wines.After lunch short excursion to Lanuvio, a "Balcony on the vineyards" famous for the "Colli Lanuvini" wine. Dinner with folk music at the restaurant "Le Mimose". Overnight at Hotel.

Breakfast at Hotel. Morning excursion io Ariccia, Genzano and Nemi.  At 13:00 Hrs lunch at a farm. The aperitif will be served on the panoramic balcony of the XVII Century villa: visit of the wine cellars.
Lunch with typical dishes and wine of the farms. After lunch short climb to the Monte Cavo where we can still see the ruins of the temple which the Romans built in favour of tbe God "Juppiter": from here we can appreciate the wonderful view of the two 1akes of Albano and Nemi and, faraway, the sea.
Return to the Hotel and overnight.

Breakfast at Hotel and departure for a full day guided excursion to Rome: St. Peter Basilica and its square, the Piazza Venezia, the Forum and the Colosseum. Lunch at "Il Risello " restaurant.
In the afternoon, walking tour of the famous Squares of Rome: Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona. In the evening, on the way to the Hotel, dinner at the "D'Artagnan" restaurant.
Overnight.

Breakfast and departure. End of the tour.
