Super Mont
Blanc
The
vast and complex Mont Blanc range is irregularly divided among France, Italy
and Switzerland. The impressive and severe Italian side is the steepest.
Towards France long and parallel glaciers find their way in wider spaces
and more articulated orography reaching the Arve Valley where Chamonix, the
navel of the mountaneering world, lies. In the swiss portion we find more
gentle glaciers, lower peaks and the easier way to enter the high mountain
environment.
This program is a sort of high altitude trekking that in six days will lead
us to the very top of Europe alternating gentle footpaths and harder glacier
crossing. To better appreciate this marvellous mountain dimensions, but in
a not fanatic attitude, will try to avoid as much as possible the use of
cable cars an similar devices.
