The Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi (formerly called the Hotel Le Cappellette di San Luigi) has been completely renovated in 2005 and from January 2006 is now under new management. Re-opened this new look luxury hotel is called the Hotel Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi….

The Hotel Rospigliosi is located in the former Palazzo Imperiali Borromeo, an ancient building dating back to the late Renaissance. The building is the former residence of Giulio Rospigliosi who became Pope Clement IX in 1667. The property is located in the heart of the city centre right next to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore half way between Termini train station and the Colosseum.

There are 4 floors served by 1 elevator and an impressive marble stone staircase. The hotel also has its own private courtyard, restaurant, meeting room and study room. A listed building the Rospigliosi is part of the Italian National Heritage and as such can not be drastically altered without express permission from the Government. Consisting of 40 guest rooms all with air conditioning and all modern facilities plus 12 foot thick walls ensure the rooms are peaceful, comfortable and spacious. The new Hotel Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi is surely one of the finest 4 star hotels in Rome.

May we be so bold as to invite you to enjoy our special History section which summarises over 400 years of history, surely this section will give you a feel for what you may experience only too shortly… you will doubtless recognize some of the names of illustrious and venerated persons connected with the apostolic activities which took place here all those years ago! (indeed, the hotel still contains its very own church!!!)

The two halls are equipped for meetings or concerts and are at your disposal as reading rooms. From the courtyard you may access to the internal churches; one of them may be used for celebrate religious ceremonies.

The hotel is located just a few steps away from all the important monuments of Rome such as the Imperial Roman Forum and the Colosseum. The shopping and business areas, such as Via Veneto, Via Condotti and the Spanish Steps are easily reachable on foot from the Hotel Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi.
 

ROOMS

The 39 bedrooms at the Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi are spacious, comfortable and well decorated, as well as very bright and entirely soundproofed.

All rooms are equipped with all facilities such as en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, satellite colour television, telephone with direct outside line, mini-bar and safe deposit box.

From most rooms guests may enjoy a suggestive view over the internal courtyard and from the other rooms over the peaceful garden. All our rooms and bathrooms have been refurbished respecting the style and period of our hotel.
 

FACILITIES

Restaurant: the hotel offers a restaurant which, beside to the breakfast service, gives prominence to the Italian cooking tradition through traditional dishes made with Mediterranean products.

Breakfast: a rich buffet breakfast is served in the cosy and quiet breakfast room. Bread, pastries, ham, cheese, fresh fruits, yoghurts and juices will be at your disposal. A kind breakfast personnel will provide you with hot drinks as tea, coffee, milk and cappuccino.

Cocktail Bar: inside the hotel guests will find a fantastic cocktail bar where to relax sipping a drink after a hard day of sightseeing in Rome.

Conferences and Meetings: Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi offers 2 halls well-equipped for your meetings, conferences and expositions. These two rooms may be also used as reading rooms 24 hours a day

Church: from the Hotel you have access to two little churches, one of them may be used on request to celebrate your private religious ceremonies.

Concierge: Our friendly staff will be glad to help you during your stay in Rome suggesting you places of interest, typical restaurants and what to do. The lobby is one flight up from the street level and there is no lift.

Parking: we offer our guest the possibility to park their car for free in our car park.
 

LOCATION

The Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi is centrally located on Via Liberiana next to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, right in the heart of Rome's historical centre, perfectly connected with the rest of the city by bus and Subway.

How to reach us

By Air: (Ciampino or Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci)
there is a train shuttle that runs every 20 minutes, and which will take you directly to Termini Railway Central Station. It is very fast, as it takes only 30 minutes. Then follow the above indications.
 

Bus + Train. A shuttle bus CO.TRA.L. connect Ciampino Airport with Ciampino Station; every 15 minutes there is a train links with Terminal Railway Station. When you are at Terminal Railway Station take the exit to via G
 

By Train: (Termini train station)
we are at a walking distance from the Termini iolitti and from there follow the above indications.
