The Roman Forum is the heart of Imperial Rome; what is presently retains a portion of the center of Ancient Rome. They are the monumental vestiges intended to celebrate the greatness and glory of the Emperors of Rome.
It is a huge area of the forum, witnessing the various historical stages of the city of Rome from prehistory to the present; here is in the Curia, the Senate seat, which were discussed and enacted laws. Living in the center of Rome really meant to live in the center of everything; here is the Via Sacra where the legions marched back to Rome with weapons which imposed its laws and everywhere brought its currency, its customs. This is the square of the capital of the empire, with its churches, for the administration of justice, taxes and foreign affairs. Here are the most important public worship of the Roman religion from the archaic period to the Middle Ages.
