'Antoniazzo Romano Pictor Urbis' exhibition in Palazzo Barberini from 31 October 2013 to 2 March 2014.
In the exhibition, edited by the experts Anna Cavallaro and Stefano Petrocchi, we'll find about fifty paintings, frescoes and gold background boards, including those of St.Catherine of Siena's chamber.
Antonio di Benedetto of Aquili, said Antoniozzo Romano is a Roman painter, who was probably born between 1430 and 1435 and died between 1508 and 1512.
He was one of Roman School of the Renaissance's leading painters. His work was influenced,at the beginning of his career, from Beato Angelico, Benozzo Gozzoli and especially by Piero della Francesca and Melozzo da Forli.
